Q : Are Sun Labs Self Tanners safe ?
A : Yes. The use of all natural ingredients such as Aloe Vera Gel, Panthenol, and Soybean Oil provide the richest looking tan in the most protected way without the sun. We have added B-5, Aloe Vera, Fruit Acids and Panthenol to create balance and overall great glow for the skin’s outer layers. While most sunless lotions smell very chemical-based, our lotions contain a mild scent of cherry-almond-amaretto, which slowly fades away as the lotion is absorbed into the skin.
Q : Are Sun Labs Self Tanners drying to the skin ?
A : No. Sun Labs Self Tanning Products contain botanically extracted ingredients which moisturizes, hydrates and protects the body without clogging the pores or irritating sensitive skin. Providing a safe barrier against drying elements.
Q : What active ingredient produces the tan ?
A : The basis is a sugar molecule called dihydroxyacetone (DHA). When this reacts with the amino acids in the skin it initiates a natural tanning process.
Q : How do I apply Sun Self Tanning Products ?
A : The use of Sun Labs Exfoliant Body Gel with natural loofah and kernels, which removes surface impurities and dead skin cells is highly recommended prior to application. Three (3) of our Self Tanning lotions comes out in a deep dark brown colour to insure uniform application. Apply to your skin by hand as you would apply any lotion. Do not come in contact with water, perfumes, additional lotions, or clothing for at least one hour to allow your skin to absorb the deepest darkest and moisturizing tan available. The colour will intensify within 3 hours of application.
Q : Will my hands turn orange ?
A : No. The use of Sun Labs Self Tanners will not turn the skin orange or yellow because the product is not dye based and there is no unpleasant chemical smell. We do recommend using gloves during application, if not wash your hands immediately after application. The dark lotion provides an instant tan and is absorbed into the skin, any skin.
Q : Will I have a problem with streaking or build up from Sun Labs Self Tanning Products ?
A : No. The deep dark brown colour insures uniform application. It gets dark, rich colour from Soybean Oil, which allows you to see instant results. The use of Sun Labs Exfoliant Body Gel will assist in helping your tan fade evenly.
Q : How often can I apply Sun Labs Self Tanning Products ?
A : As often as you like. The use of Sun Labs Exfoliant Body Gel is most important with reapplication. Removing surface impurities and dead skin cells prior to reapplication leaves the skin smooth and polished.

A : No. After obtaining the richest looking tan with Sun Labs Self Tanning Products, we highly recommend using a Sun Labs SPF when outdoors. Sun Labs Self Tanning Products do not contain Sun Screens.
